Stretch ‘Em, Shave ‘Em, Save ‘Em

Whatever the powers that be say about things picking up, recovery still seems a long way off. Maybe down here at ground level, we  do not have the same long distance view as they do up there in their ivory towers.

Whether things start looking up towards the end of this year or the next, people are suffering now. By the time those fragile green shoots take hold they may have lost their last car and have had their house repossessed by the bank.

So rather than eat cake as Marie Antoinette suggested the poor folk of France should do just before they removed her pretty head from her shoulders, let’s find and share ways to shave, stretch and shave a penny here and there. We can leave the cake to the high and mighty for now.
